These selected hikes are relatively easy to walk and go along old traditional Mani stone paths, which were made to connect the villages by foot or by donkey.
As they are not always well maintained make sure you have good shoes and wear at least long pants as bushes can grow into the paths.
Ø Kotroni to Platsa – very beautiful hike starting at the picturesque village of Kotroni going up towards Platsa, great views and very rewarding.
Ø Pigi to Platsa – park your car on the main road (entrance to Pigi) and walk through the village past Stathis Tavern, on the let side the path starts towards Platsa (30 minutes one way).
Ø Pantazi Beach to Pigi – path is marked and follows a gorge up to Pigi, partially an old Mani path, great views over the coast. (45 minutes one way)
Ø Old Kardamyli to Agia Sophia
Have a look around old Kardamyli with the possibility to enter the restored area with an old tower, a chapel and an olive press (museum) before you start climbing up towards the Agia Sophia. Rewarding mountain & coastal views. (45 minutes one way)
